about

ENGLISH:
Moddlaren (The Flatbrush) was a web publication run by Roger Larsson and Magnus Häglund during the larger part of the ’00s. Its (mainly fictitious) editorial staff tackled all subjects imaginable. In December 2002 they released a Christmas single where the editorial staff reads a Christmas poem by the (fictitious) Literature editor Märit Runeberg, with music by Doubleheader (an alias of Häglund’s).

A year later a live version of the track was released; arranged by the (fictitious) editor of the Movies/TV/Theatre section, Janne Herlin. It was performed by a selection of (fictitious) staff members, whose enthusiasm was hardly matched by their talent. Solo organ was performed by Travel editor Richard Berio. Sports editor Leif ”Gnaget” Westerberg was set to recite Runeberg’s Christmas poem but was interrupted by Science editor Curry Kvist’s improvised pyrotechnics. No one was harmed during the performance.
